About our Tomato Plants
Organic plants grown here on the farm using compost from Fertile Fibre and seeds from Tamar Organics, Vital Seeds and Premier Seeds Direct. Germinated in our germinated in our germination chamber and then grown on on a heated bench, these are vibrant healthy plants ready to go in if growing inside a polytunnel or greenhouse or grown on if planting outside after any frosts.
Large/Heritage Tomatoes
POZZANO F1 a classic San Marzano hybrid with large, red, long-oval fruits.
CINDEL F1 early, red, salad tomato
PAUL ROBESON big dusky red beefsteak famous for its distinctive smokey sweet and tangy flavour.
BERNER ROSE Heritage variety from Switzerland with pink coloured beefsteak fruits of aromatic flavour. This traditional Swiss variety is rather late ripening but very worth waiting for. Best grown under cover.
SAINT PIERRE classic French heirloom variety that produces bright red, beefsteak tomatoes, a well-balanced flavour of sweetness and acidity, making them ideal for salads or sandwiches.
OXHEART Traditional Italian tomato with large pink heart shaped fruits. Very tasty and has thick, meaty flesh and little juice, so ideal for sandwiches.
VIVIGRANDE classic red beef tomato which is ideal for cooking or in sandwiches. Blight resistant, good tomato aroma and taste. It is a robust cordon type so needs support but does not get too tall.
